Hi I'm booked in at the drs for a check up but wanted to see if anyone had something similar to put mind at rest, I've found a lump next to my left testicle that feels like one and is about the same size. Ideas what it could be? Thanks
James
Well done on getting the check up appointment alot of men don't. It's hard for anyone to speculate what it is but what I will say is a small lump next to the testicle is very common and usually just a little cyst.
Most testicular cancers start within the testicle and grow and this is what makes your testicle large and hard. There is no such thing as scrotum cancer so if the lump is inside the sack and just next to the testicle then I am pushing towards a cyst.
The GP still may send you for an ultrasound for precautionary measures but don't panic if they do they are more cautious nowadays than they was 20 or 30 years ago.
All the best and let us know how you get on.
