hi all im new here,im glad to  found this supportive forum,i hope if somebody can advice me correctly i really dont know what do more.
I accidentally noticed a lump on my testicles, lump is rice sized maybe half rice, or  pin head , its really hard as rock, lump location is on top of the testicle, but not at epydidimis, just next to it,its looks like is attached to testicle.

I immediately went to the urologist for examination and ultrasound, doctor was able to palpate lump bit not concerned at all,and did a ultrasound scan an US show nothing, apsolutley nothinq,my testicles are healthy without lumps.
next few days i went to next specialist ,for exam and US scan, this second doctor also can not find anything on ultrasound, and he told me ,to not worry.
i again booked new examination by a doctor next specialist and ultrasound ,same thing, he found small cyst on testicle itself but i think he is not sure if it was cyst, nothing suspicious and he told me im ok.

then i booked finaly my last US exam at next urology specialist with last gen ultrasound device.
he felt my lump but on ultrasound my testicles are perfectly fine without any cyst or lump on testicle itself.
doctor was very kind and he is tried to find my lump on at any angle and position, exam was last 30 min trying to find spot,no issues ,no patology all perfectly find.

i done all tumor markers and all clear.

sorry for long story, but my lump is there but US show nothing and all doctors specialist told me this is not cancer and not to worry.
my questions are.

my lump feels like on surface of testicle not epydidimis,i read online that lumps are on testicle are most likely bad.

can i have cyst on testicle surface and still to be benign?
does ultrasound is able to catch that kind of lumps?
doctor said that testicles is 100% visible on US? and if i have something he is able to catch it.
can testicular cancer missed by ultrasound?
can i belive my doctors and move on with life?

sorry for grammar errors,im realy under huge stress while typing this question.

thanks in advance, god bless you all.

  • Hi Drake

Stressful times, but I honestly think you can rest easy. If  multiple experts have said you're good, then you're good.

Keep an eye on it, but don't obsess about it. A friend of mine lost a nut as a child. When I lost mine in 2020 he got paranoid and was hurting himself by checking all the time.

    Best wishes

  • Thank you Teahupo, yes my anxiety  killing me,i checking all the time my lump,as you described.

Tell me if you can, does ultrasound with accuracy can see if i have something or not?

Why my bump can be seen on ultrasound,do you have any explanation?

    Thank you for reassurance.

  • Just update,if somebody worry about lump on testicle itself, dont worry like me before actual diagnosis,my lump is finally described on US ,it was one single calcificat,in first layer of testicle called tunica albuginea, not testicle itself,

If anybody find this my post, remmember dont worry,it is not all lumps cancers, dont be like me,depressed and my anxiety takes over me.

    All the best.

  • That's great news Drake.  You can catch up on your sleep.

  • Hello! I'm 17 years old, I've never had sex, I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol, I have no risk factors for testicular cancer!

let me tell you my story!

in September 2020 I had an infection of the right testicle which I treated in a week, my right testicle hurt very badly (then I didn't examine it to see if I had swelling on it but I probably didn't).

in May 2021 I received a strong blow in my right testicle (a friend threw a little girl and it came directly into my right testicle) for an hour I sat with ice on my scrotum and after two hours I got rid of the pain, I had and nausea then. at the moment I didn't palpate the testicle because it hurt a lot when palpated.

in October 2021 I palpated the testicle and found a swelling on the left side of the right testicle, a swelling as small as a grain of rice and hard that didn't hurt, and now I have that swelling but it seems (I'm not sure) it's a little bigger than then. The bump is right next to where that rock hit.

can the swelling be caused by that strong blow and remain in the testicle for the rest of its life?

    is it testicular cancer?

how many chances do I have that at 17 years old, having no risk factors, I will develop testicular cancer? believe me, I am very afraid of what is happening to me! I cry daily!

I also ask you: can swelling appear if I excessively palpate the testicle? since 2020 I palpate my right testicle daily (only the right one). could this lump be caused by palpating the testicle very often?

  • Hi.  I don't think a physical blow like that can cause cancer. But it could obviously cause other superficial damage.

Palpating can cause swelling.  When I went through my cancer experience I was sharing an office with a friend that lost a testicle when they were young.  He got so paranoid about my experience that he was palpating way too much and making himself sore which was driving his paranoia further.

If you're worried go and see your doctor. But don't drive yourself mad.  And don't hurt yourself

  • did you have risk factors for testicular cancer? what risk factors did you have?
maybe a blow to the testicle received in the urn 2 years ago still has consequences today? i.e. swelling.
so if I wax my testicles daily, will my testicles swell?
I have many veins on my right testicle that look like wires.

  • can that trauma cause damage after 2 years?

  • Swelling was mobile or no ?

  • Hello

First of all stop playing with and massaging your balls as this will make any swelling or lumps worse, it also just heightens your fears and anxiety. You are 17 years young and more than likely scared. No one on here as far as I know is a doctor so you need to see your doctor so they can have a feel. There is nothing to be scared of or ashamed of. You drop your trousers for a few mins and that's it. Doctors do this day in day out and it's just the norm to them. I had female and male doctors checking me and it don't bother me at all as they don't make you feel uncomfortable.

    • A trauma to the body can cause swelling which yes can take a long time to go but you will only know what's going on with a doctor check up and maybe an ultra sound if required.

    • There is no actual risk factors or age group for TC but its less common in younger adults. its what doctors call unlucky but also lucky as its the only really treatable cancer around. Infact most cases 100% treatable.

    • Your scrotum contains lots of veins and tubes and can get infections which causes swelling and pain. Also being young you will produce alot of sperm which sometimes if not released can also cause epidimitus which is an infection that can go on its on or with antibiotics.

At the moment you are guessing and I would also guess you are googling alot which is always bad. Google is not your friend right now. Go see your doctor get a full examination and try to put your mind at ease. Please don't beat yourself up mentally and make sure you tell the receptionist what the issue is as you will get seen sooner which is always good.

Keep us updated and we will help as much as we can.
