Hi can anyone tell me how soon I could resume sexual activity after removal of testicle?

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I can't answer your question but noticed that no one from the group had replied yet. Responding to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list where it'll hopefully be seen by someone who can help.

Have you been assigned a CNS (cancer nurse specialist) as they should be able to answer your question? If not you could speak to one of the nurses on the Macmillan Support Line by calling 0808 808 0000. It's free to call and they're available every day from 8am to 8pm.

While you're waiting for replies it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • I don't honestly remember what I was advised. I was anticipating the upcoming chemo as well, so wasn't feeling much like it anyway to be honest. But it certainly wasn't very long. Maybe around two weeks. But make sure you give yourself a bit of time and take it easy.

  • They didn’t really tell me anything but I had painful erections from 1-3 weeks after surgery (only because of lack of activity and surgery still healing), then I have been fine since then. Just go easy so as not to bust stitches or internal scarring for a while.
