Hello everyone, I’m an active 33 year old spend my days working in construction and my evenings and weekend farming, diagnosed 3 weeks ago with an 11mm tumour in my left testicle which was the smaller one of the two of them , it was removed 2 days ago and I’m currently home resting. Doctors seem to think 11mm is early and may not need much more than the orchidectomy, Iv had awful pains in my abdominal area bloating and dull aches which made me go get checked I’m worried these are from spreading of the Tumour still have the pains now maybe I need to do an allergy test and eliminate somthing I’m eating for the bloating and pain, it’s a daunting time waiting on the result of the testicle and awaiting a ct scan any advise?
Hi Foleyewes and welcome to the Online Community. I've a different cancer to you but I can agree the waiting on results and scans is dreadful. I'd offer some advice, don't consult Dr Google.
I can say that one of the side effects of having a general anaesthetic is bloating and abdominal pain which normally wears off fairly quickly. If you're worried you could give your CNS a call. Peppermint tea can help but personally I found it rather unpleasant.
It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. You can amend or update it at any time.

Hi, firstly I hope you're doing well. The hardest part is the waiting around for results. Obviously with covid things get delayed, my results were delayed. Since I had surgery in April, the in-between period was tough as I started noticing different issues with my body. I'm young, fit and healthy - to the point of being obsessive, I don't drink, don't eat bread etc. But once I was diagnosed, I started finding every ache and pain imaginable. I would definitely recommend mentioning it to your specialist nurse though, that's what they're there for. My CT scan came back clear, I was so surprised, but even now I'm thinking "what if they missed something" as I have found lumps in and around my abdomen, which have probably always been there, I was just oblivious to them in the past. I start one cycle of BEP next week. Stay strong. Please DM me if you need to.
