Hi all.

Its been a long time since i have posted.

I just wanted to check in with you all and give an update.

So i’m 14 months post chemo, still seeing my oncologist every 4-6 weeks due to AFP no normalising still. Latest number 13. Also they found mark on the ct scan behind my sternum, Bristol have review this and feel it’s scar tissue from chemo enlarging a gland and shrinking again leaving scar tissue.

Next CT will be September 19.

All other tests clear.

I moved from Testosterone Gel to injections once every 12 week. I’m going to see my endo in a few weeks and I am going to ask to go back to Gel. I find about week 9 i start to get tired and run down as the injection is wearing off. I feel gel will be more constant.

My T numbers have gone from 0.9 to 5.0 not had a blood test recently, next blood test is next week to check T levels.

  • Hi tk,

I’m with you currently on monthly surveillance, 5 months post chemo.  My afp rose after chemo, so know the anxiety it can bring month to month.

heres go another month till they can give me bad news!

    fingers crossed for you
