I’m new…anyone with stomach cancer advanced to spleen?

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband…what a shock for you!  The MDT will decide on a treatment plan. It may help to write down the questions that you have as I found that my mind went blank when I was being given information!

It will be a long road so focus on what is the next step.. if surgery is an option? If your husband’s cancer is unusual then you can ask about a second opinion.  Others in this group have done that but hopefully you get a plan going forward! X

Thanks Jac, yes it’s been a huge shock. The gastroenterologist said the unanimous view at local MDT was his stomach and spleen need removed but I hope surgery will be still on the table as I’ve read a bit about surgery not being recommended with spread.  I do have a few things written down but there’s so much I don’t know so I’m very grateful to hear from others who have travelled this road. It’s a whole new world for us and everything feeling very surreal.
