I had recent surgery for stomach GIST which seems to have gone well. Partial gastrectomy 4 weeks ago now.
I felt fine until I had an upper GI bleed went to my local A&E and it was quickly recognised after endoscopy.
from there it was robotic surgery at a specialist hospital 4 weeks afterwards. The surgeon said ‘we took a tumour the size of a small melon out of your belly button’ !
