Hi, new member, 11 months in to RMS cancer journey with my 17 yr old son. He had 6 months of chemo  on FAR-RMS trial( tolerated really well, made great progress) plus 5 weeks of radiotherapy. Treatement ended beg Sept abd started maintenance oral therapy 2.5 weeks later. Mid Oct he had repeat scans. CT and MRI are clear. PET has shown 2 small areas in pelvis ( that had been there previously) showing - oncologists words- 'slightly lighter' than last scan in June. Her view, we monitor it, with repeat scan in 5-6 weeks. Anyone had this and found it to be something not to worry about? I am,once again, going out of my mind with worry, falling into all kinds of horrid rabbit holes. Thanks for reading.

I am sorry that you have not yet had a response to your post but sometimes it can just take a little longer for someone in similar circumstances to see it and offer support.

I am sorry to hear of your son's sarcoma journey. I can understand that his PET scan results are worrying for you both- especially after he went through all the treatment. From my understanding when something shows up on a scan they can often chose to monitor it by rescanning a little while later- to check for any changes.

While you are waiting for a reply to your post, why not give the Support Line a call and talk things through on there. It is there from 8am-8pm everyday.
