Hello everyone,
Three years ago, my wonderful Mam was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma. We devoted ourselves completely to loving and caring for her, but sadly, she passed away eight weeks ago.
I’m now hoping to honour her memory by supporting research and awareness for this rare cancer. Does anyone know of any research groups currently accepting donations specifically for uterine leiomyosarcoma, or any public initiatives raising awareness or funds for this cause?
Thank you so much for any guidance or suggestions.
Welcome to our communiy, I hope you find it both informaive and supportive.
Sorry to hear about your mother, my wife also has Leiomyosarcoma - hers beleived to be of uterine origin but now mostly as secondaries in her lungs. Fortunatly for us her cancer is currnetly stable but I recognize the issues with it being a rare cancer.
I cannot say I know of anything totally focused on this particuar issue but I did find leiomyosarcoma research uk. and then on the sarcoma uk website they have a list of trials.
<<hugs>>
Steve
