Hello, I have just joined this group today, my husband was told only a week ago that he has leiomyosarcoma and it has spread to his lungs and liver, he also has a blood clot in his IVC which is causing his legs to swell very bad, this is the only reason we have been able to find out because he ended up having a CT scan after an ultrasound found he had a 2.2cm mass which is in his IVC, we haven’t seen the team in Leeds yet for the proper diagnosis, we are waiting to hear from them which is very hard. We have 7 children together and finding this news out has been absolutely devastating for us all, we are feeling very sad but after reading some of these posts it has given me more hope than we may come out the other side, I am just praying we do x x x
Hi Nicki
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
Glad you found some useful information here, my wife's cancer is Leiomyosarcoma though hers is thought to be of gynecological origin it is also in her lungs.
Leeds is one of the sarcoma specialist centres and so good that you are being referred there.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Hi Steve, Thank you for your reply. We are just waiting for our appointment and praying that something can be done, the waiting is the worst and just not knowing and thinking the worst, I am trying to stay positive but I am also very scared. I hope your wife is doing well and sending love x
