Hello I’m new to this forum. I was diagnosed November 23 with Spindle sarcoma in right femur. Which I had removed via surgery in January 24
i also have matasisied tumors in my lungs.
I’ve already received 6 months chemo as inpatient but now need more as tumors have increased slightly in 5 months since treatment ended.
the latest chemo I will receive can be administered through a home pump and I wanted to know if anybody has experienced these pumps
Hi Donkey1 . I'm not from this group so not familiar with your treatment, but I did have a chemo pump for my own cancer. Yours may not be the same but I had to wear it for a week at a time. It was connected via a PICC line. The PICC line stays in your arm when not in use and is taped up. Painless going in. When the pump is attached you can wear it in a pouch on a belt. The chemo is infused very slowly over a period of time. I did not have not have a problem with it. I am sure some of the group members will be along with more specific info. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
