Hi everyone, I’m 34 and was diagnosed on Friday after lots of investigation and 2 biopsies. I have a soft tissue sarcoma growing behind and around my eye.
the pathology report isn’t quite complete so I don’t know the exact type of sarcoma I have but I meet my oncologist on Thursday and start chemotherapy next Monday. I am staying positive but I’m also very anxious and scared of the treatment process.
they can’t just take mine out because of where it is but, if chemo fails they will do surgery to remove my eye and the tumour.

I have a beautiful 2 year old boy who is keeping me focused on getting better.

just thought I’d say hello, I hope you’re all hanging in there.

  • Hi   I have a 34 year old daughter with soft tissue Ewing’s sarcoma which is on her pancreas.  She can’t have surgery but is having 14 cycles of chemo - number 8 begins tomorrow.  It’s very intense - every other week but she is tolerating it really well, I’m amazed by her and all the other patients we’ve met.  The hospital who are treating her are a sarcoma unit and are fabulous.  I wish you all the best.
