hi i have been diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma - im 48 and im starting chemo on Monday - im worried, frightened and everything rolled into one. just want to find someone who has anything in common with my diagnosis
Hi I'm 47 and was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma in Dec 2021. Primary in pelvis and small lung mets. I had x3 doxirubicin then radiotherapy on pelvis. Finished treatment in may and been stable since. It is scary at first and this diagnosis has been a journey for me, you are not alone and theres a lot of hope. I found reading positive stories and locating healthy adjuvant things I could do to support me alongside treatment gave me some control. Have you got someone to support you after chemo for the first few days? It helped me having family there to help so I could rest. They also made sure I drank lots of water as I slept a lot. After 5 days I was ok until the next round so could do things on the 2 weeks off. Once I started treatment I felt I was doing something positive and emotionally this helped. Wishing you all the best x
Thankyou for taking the time to reply. It’s been more of a journey than I could ever belief. Shock. Disbelief. It would be great to keep in touch just to know there’s someone else the same - Thankyou again
