Hi. I was diagnosed a few years ago with sts I had 2 operations to remove large (7kg) tumours to be told, we’ve got them all. Months later I had a scan , to find multiple legions dotted around my stomach. I had chemo and they grew, to be told I was terminal. I’ve been given Pazopanib and take the 2 wee pills daily.
yesterday I found a lump on the bottom part of my rib cage. I think the pills aren’t working. I’m seeing the oncology nurse next week. Do I seek help now? I know they can’t do anything for me anymore
Hi Sue.J and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It's always worrying when you find something new and it's natural to assume that it's to do with your cancer.
I don't know whether you should contact your oncology nurse about this before you see them next week or not. What have they told you to do previously if you find something in between appointments?
Sending (((hugs)))
Thanks latchbrook, for your answer. I did get in touch with Macmillan at the hospital/ oncology dept. I suppose peace of mind gives you the reason to just make sure. X
