It’s back!!!

Jane, sorry to hear that your cancer is back so quickly.

I am due the first of my 3 monthly scans on March 1st so unfortunately I am not in the position to advise on recurrences of LMS however I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and keeping everything crossed that radiotherapy will help you to keep the cancer at bay.

Jane I am sorry to hear your news. I am still waiting for my first surgery. Mine is gynae with spread to my lungs.   So I can imaging how awful it was for you to hear you had recurrence.  I did exchange a couple of messages with Steve tho who' s wife had the same initial diagnosis as me and is still going strong after 6 years. That gave me so much hope and I hope it does the same for you. Just cos we have active cancer doesn't me we are dying. Best wishes Nanci

thank you. So you have uterus leiomyosarcoma too, but not had hysterectomy yet? Mine has spread to my lung too.

Hi, its a b****er isn't it, I am sitting here with period pains at 66 yrs old, you have to laugh!  Did you have a lung biopsy?  I had mine on 18th and the results aren't back yet. There seems to be some debate about who will take possession of my body dependant on what the histology is in my lungs.  I had previous breast cancer so it could be that, sarcoma or primary lung cancer.  Dependant on the results they will decide which team gets me.

To be honest today I just want treatment to start I don't even care what type of treatment it is.  I got my diagnosis in early November so all I keep thinking is that's its more time for it to spread further.  Have you had any chemo yet?

Yes it is, it’s evil. 
so they don’t know your primary yet. 
Im getting period like pains too, it’s horrible. 
Radiotherapy will be my first treatment, for the pelvis sarcoma, then possible chemo later on for my lungs, as they are stable at mo. 
I agree, I just want to get on with it now, as it’s growing so fast.

They seem to think the primary was in my womb as I have a lot of spread in my pelvis too.  No one will be drawn on the exact treatment at the moment but they have  all been great so I feel confident that they will come up with a good treatment plan.  I am heading off to the hospital now for another MRI scan this will be my third, plus a Pet scan and a couple of ultrasounds as well as the lung biopsy, I don't have  an orifice they have n't probed to be honest.

I will check back in with you when I get home chin up we can fight it together.

Good luck today, I know how horrible it all is. What hospital are you under? 
I know, I’ve been poked and prodded a lot too. I didn’t have a lung biopsy, they could just tell it was the same cancer cells as my sarcoma in my pelvis.
