  • Hi

Sorry to hear about your husband and that the treatments so far have not given the results you wanted.

I was really scared for my wife too but in order to be the best help to her I found the first thing I had to do was sort our my own emotions. I did a living with less stress course that really helped me. I realised I was already worried about how things would be in the future and it prevented me from appreciating what we had now. Of course there are times when life throws curve balls we would never have expected and the breathing exercises were really helpful for that.

    <<hugs>>

  • Hi Zactorno 1, so sorry about your husband it's a terrible worrying time for yous, my husband was diagnosed with a Gist a few months ago his consultant started him on a chemo drug to try and shrink it because it's so big and they can't operate until it shrinks,  I'm worried sick hoping he has a good outcome from it,

  • I am currently in the same situation. In 2016 I had a large tumour removed from my bowel and started on Glivec Imatanib. I’m 2017 I had a liver disection  and for the past 4 years Imatinib with kept my remaining tumours under control. Just before Xmas after my last scan I was put on sunitinib and have struggled with some of the side effects (terrible tummy). I’ve just had another scan and waiting to see if this is effective. My consultant told me it was now time to start living my best life. So as you can imagine I’m really apprehensive. I hope your husband is well and wish him all the very best.
