Hello everyone, this is my first time posting so apologies if I'm in the wrong place!?
My problems seem very small compared to a lot of others but I'm hoping for a bit of advice please?
I've been diagnosed with two Actinic Keratosis on the crown area of my scalp and I've been prescribed Efudix cream twice a day. I'm just wondering how I'm supposed to apply it to an area covered in hair?
It says to apply the cream and a thin film will form, and to remove this before the next application, but I'm not sure how this will happen as my hair is obviously in the way? I'm also having trouble applying it to just the tiny area needed as it's also going on my hair?
I'm just worried that it won't be in enough contact with the AK to actually do any good?
Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you.
Hi Mandy 167 My hubby has just finished using this on his face, results were brilliant. Move your hair out of the way as much as you can and put a clip to keep it there. Apply the cream on a cotton bud, leave your hair out of the way for as long as you can then comb it over. Before applying the next get a cotton wool pad and wet it and wipe the old cream off and re apply the next dose. I thought I had this too but mine was a pillar cyst. Good Luck. Here if you need any further advice xx
