My friend has a quickly growing growth which was supposed to be removed a week ago, but her operation was cancelled as the surgeon said it was too big & required a skin graft. Does anyone know whether this will affect her prognosis?
Hi I had a basal cell cancer removed from under my eye/top of nose with a skin graft. It was slow to heal when stitches were first taken out but now 9 months later is hardly visible. Mine was quite large, skin graft was taken from down the side of my face right next to my ear. The site healed really quickly. My Consultant said from the beginning it would be skin graft, but was carried out with just a local anaesthetic and took about 2 hours in total to do. Hope your friend gets it done quickly being as you say it is growing quickly. Have they told her what sort of skin cancer it is. Feel free to ask any questions as we are all willing to offer any help we can. Good Luck xx
