Hi All,
Not been on here for a while. Had Mohs surgery on an infiltrative bcc last year plus nitrogen treatment for another. At that time I had a lesion on other cheek which dermo dx'd (no biopsy) as a Wart.
All fine now, except this "wart" thing just gets bigger. I've tried creaming it and then scraping off the dead skin but this makes the edges bleed - not nice. Although in my early 70's not too concerned about my appearance this is very visible to others (actually been commented on !) so wondering if anyone else has something similar - and what helped?
Glad of any responses. thanks j x
I had one on my arm which I removed with over the counter wart treatment and a lot of scraping! You can’t even see where it was now. I wouldn’t try this on my face though as it does bleed! Could you have the nitrogen treatment at your GP? I know that the nurse at my GP practice runs a wart freezing clinic.
Hi
I had a seborrheic keratoses on my forehead just underneath my fringe. My consultant dermatologist told me to leave it alone as it would probably come off by itself. She was right, it crusted over and just fell off.

Thanks latchbrook. I've several actinic keratosis thingies of various sizes on my face, mostly around the hairline. This one is just under 2 cm round and feels and looks quite different, also I have had it for a few years. I'd love for it to drop off but I think the chances of that are zero :( It is a seborrheic wart, increases in height gradually and quite ingrained. Saw the GP today and have been given some efudix for it, fingers crossed.
Thanks Jules. It is a bit painful/uncomfortable when I try to scrape it so a bit cautious of using an over the counter wart treatment.
Finally asked the GP for something and been given some efudix. I know this will make it look awful for a few weeks but wearing a mask is a bonus and should cover it up!
Let us know how you get on with Efudix .

I will latchbrook. Intended starting last night before sleep then read somewhere best earlier so it won't get distributed and spread on the pillowcase !
May I ask how your husband is? Reading back about Efudix I saw he was being treated with it.
Could you also advise me where to find the 'search', on the forum please?
Hi
The 'patch' on my husband's leg didn't really react to Efudix. When he saw his dermatologist she said that he could either leave it or have an excision biopsy as she was still sure it was Bowens disease. As I had been diagnosed with melanoma four years ago when it was thought to be nothing he decided to opt for the biopsy. It turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) but the excision biopsy removed it all so he doesn't need any further excisions.
To use the search facility scroll to the top of the page and look for a symbol that looks like a magnifying glass. Type in a word that you want to search, eg 'efudix' and any previous posts which mention that word will appear.
I hope the Efudix works for you as it does seem to react for most people.
