hello- first time in a group chat. I just finished my 14 days of chemo cream on my face yesterday. I’m wondering if you all had any advice on keeping my face moist so it doesn’t hurt so much. The chemo cream kept my face from drying out and now the dryness is extremely uncomfortable. I tried some eczema cortisone cream but that stung. I then slathered Vaseline all over my face which helped, but I am wondering if you all had suggestions.  I was also wondering how long it will be before my skin will feel better and start to heal.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

Firstly, thanks for completing your profile as I can see that you've previously had a SCC removed and that the chemotherapy cream is being used to remove pre-cancerous growths.

I haven't used this cream myself but looking at this information about it from Macmillan it says that your doctor can prescribe steroid cream to help if the area is very sore.

I'm tagging into my reply to you as he was starting a course of Efudix back in November and might be able to tell you what he used after the treatment had finished.
