Hi everyone, I'm Bella and 2 yrs ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and lung cancer and had right upper lobectomy. I've now been referred via dermascope photo to dermatology who have put me on waiting list for plastics for excision and biopsy for I'm guessing cancer, plastics rang and thought it was actinic keratosis. Don't really have a question, just wondered if there are other ra patients who've had cancers and did they think it was from the disease or the meds used to control it, or both or neither. Bit long winded but thanks for reading xx

  • Hi

I haven't had the same diagnoses as you but I did have breast cancer after being treated for melanoma, so maybe having one type of cancer can make you more susceptible to having another.

  • Hi Anne, as if one cancer isn't enough but you're right, you must be more likely to have another. Hope you're doing okay, thanks for the reply xx
