Hi there,
On Wednesday, they've confirmed that the patch on my collar bone is a bcc ( number 4! ) . When I was in there, the doctor checked under my armpit, pressing quite hard.
Me being me didn't ask why she was doing that! Does anybody know why she would have done this? The only thing I could think of is that she was checking for any lumps there? But they always say bcc's don't spread?
If anybody could shed any light on this, I'd be really grateful, kicking myself that I didn't ask now.
Thanks in advance. X
Hi Mumster
I'm sorry to read that you've just been diagnosed with your fourth BCC.
I'm obviously guessing but maybe your dermatologist is so used to checking the nearest lymph nodes to an area of skin cancer that she just did it automatically even though, as you said, it's rare for BCCs to spread. For peace of mind you could phone the dermatology department and ask why your lymph nodes were checked.
Let us know what happens
