This is Paul AKA mossmanpoet. I have prostate cancer diagnosed In 2018 as a result of a regular blood test for other reasons. A high PSA, biopsy and MRI scan confirming the big “C”. After processing all this I was put on “Active Surveillance” with regular PSA tests and scans with no action required until a decision in 2024 to go forward with radiotherapy with hormone treatment.
I am now recovering from radiotherapy, feeling good but tired, with prospects looking good. Looking forward to my next PSA results.
Thankful for all the treatment and support I have have from the NHS and Macmillan Nurses.
Paul
Hello Paul (Mossmanpoet0280be)
Welcome to our not so exclusive club. Reading your post it looks like you know just where you are with your diagnosis and treatment and all is going well.
Radiotherapy does give you fatigue and so does Hormone Therapy however you will get through it.
As the Radiotherapy keeps on working it will be a couple of months before your next PSA test and I wish you a low result.
best wishes - Brian.
