Hi, i feel a bit silly as all i have had is a blood test and x ray on my back. My test results showed slight elevation on WBC (11), also 7.2 on PSA. I could see my results on my NHS App but since i had an X ray on my back today i can no longer see my test results and am worried there is a big problem. A doctor did a prostate exam and it said enlarged but smooth. I suffer from anxiety and its gone through the roof. Should i be worried.
I know this is more to do with my anxiety and am sorry if i am wasting anyones time.
Hi Angsty
never never feel your being silly . My husband was exactly the same whrn he had his PSA test . This group of people supported us through our journey and continues to do so .
can you not call your GP and ask . We don’t have access to our results as we live in Scotland .
Hope you get the answers . Take care
Liz & OH xx
I am having a further blood test later today. My partner is golden, she says wait for the procedure to go its course, i am the type who thinks i have cancer even though i am right at the begining of this journey. Thanks for the reply. I am originally from Scotland, D & G.
Its the not knowing that does me.
Thanks x
Hello again Angsty
What I didn't tell you on "New to the Community" is that I am on the 4th year of my personal Prostate Cancer journey (you can read this by clicking on my name or avatar).
The waiting for tests and results is the hardest part of the journey, although I always think good thoughts!! Your partner is right though - you can't rush these things.
Do you have a "Maggie's" near you - this is a cancer charity where you can just drop in, have a brew and discuss anxiety etc - link here - Maggie's.
Our Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week) can also help with anxiety and emotional support - feel free to give them a ring.
Make yourself at home here, keep us updated with your results and ask any questions you want - nothing is too trvial.
Best wishes - Brian.

Thanks for the reply Brian, i am off for my blood test. What i am trying to do is think i have nothing until i am told different. Difficult for me! What most annoys me is i feel mostly OK, can walk with ease, everyone thinks i look healthy. I will let you know if anything is said when i go up to the GP surgery.
An update Brian. The nurse who took my blood was great, she told me that they dont hide anything from tests, so am relieved about that. I just have to wait for the consultant appointment which will be in a couple of weeks. I read some of your journey, you are one strong individual and i wish you all the luck in the world. My biggest worry is the dull pain i have (on and off) in my kidney area but its just a waiting game. The nearest Maggies to me is 35 miles so not really an option, but thanks.
Hello Angsty
If you live in England and have the NHS App - you can request full access to your records from your GP - Your test results will then be available to see once the GP gets them.
If they are doing a full set of bloods you need to check the eGFR reading which is the Kidney function.
Best wishes - Brian.

I do live in England and could see my blood results yesterday, not today though. The surgery said they have some problem with the app. I looked through my tests but dont recall eGFR readings. I wrote the results down (not sure if i did them all). This was the original blood test carried out 10 days ago. Is there another reading which might give me a clue? FYI, all the tests were fine apart from WBC 12 and PSA 7.3. Do they always check eGRF on a blood test or is it specific?
The blood test today was after seeing a Doctor to discuss my test results
