Hi,
Newbie to this forum and recently diagnosed with Locally Advanced PC. Bone & CT Scans suggest I may have caught it early but just wanted to say Hi before I look around this amazing Community.
Hi Geoff S.
A warm welcome to this friendly group of people. Can I suggest you put a brief summary of your journey on your profile along with your Gleason, Grade Group, TNM, PSA.... This will help us give you more targeted information. Just click on the chair next to your name and follow the link to the profile page. You can also find out how people are getting on in their journey by clicking on the icon next to each person's name. Please feel free to join in any conversation and ask any questions no matter how small or silly they may be - we have all done it.
The first thing everyone will tell you is to keep as fit as possible as all the treatments will tend to cause fatigue.
Than you so much for your quick response - will do and looking forward to contributing to the Community

We`ve Got This!
hello Geoff S A warm welcome to the online Community - I know you didn't want to be here but we are a decent bunch.
Thank you for updating your profile The start on Hormone Therapy will kill of the cancer cells as they live on testosterone - that in it's self will stop the possibility of any further spread.
Do you have your full TNM score (for example I am T3aN0M0)? That will help us even further to help you.
In the meantime if you have any questions, however trivial, ask away - someone will get back to you.
Many thanks - Brian.

Magic Geoff S Thanks for that.
You are a Grade Group 5 as you are a Gleason 9 (4+5) Without treatment the cancer cells would spread at a moderate or quick rate. T3a - The cancer has broken out of the gland and not in the seminal vesicles N0 - no lymph node involvement and Mx spread not looked at or unclear but your scans have come back clear.
So welcome to the Gleason 9 club - -my diagnosis is almost the same as yours but I had a higher PSA. You can read my 2 year journey through HT/RT by clicking on my avatar. (i had some other issues on the way!!).
I hope the above helps.
Best wishes - Brian.
