Hi,got my prostate removed and the lymps also since a month ago.Now can't control my bladder.I also have pain in my anus when sitting .is that normal or something going wrong.I would like also to know of what kind of incontinence pants is recommended for my case.i would say heavy incontinence as the only safe position will be while lying down.Any other movement bring me leaks. So I need help. Thanks
Good Evening Yousouf
You need to contact your team regarding the pain in your anus - if it's continual you need to either ring 111 or report to you local urgent care centre or A & E.
Regarding the incontinence, again you should have been given exercises in the use of your Pelvic floor - if these are not working and/or you still have no control over your bladder after 4 weeks again you need to contact your medical team and seek further advice.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Yousef
im a week or 2 behind you on the recovery. Had catheter removed 2 weeks ago. No control to start but slowly improving.
I use Tena Man level 3 pads ( the ones you can put in your own underwear) and find these very effective and most comfortable
for the pelvic floor exercises the NHS have an App Called Squeezy which I find really helpful. 10 slow squeezes and 10 quick 3 times a day. It also tells you how to do them to make sure your doing them correctly
I also sometimes get an ache in my anus but this is usually when I need to poo. The hospital gave me Movicol sachets to keep stools soft which helps. You should speak to your Dr
i know your post was a few days back so hopefully you’re making some progress. The incontican be disheartening sometimes but keep doing your pelvic floor exercises ( the advice I’m given) and I’m sure we’ll get there
stay strong
Alex
