Husband diagnosed last week. Not expecting it . Waiting for a phone call to check it hasn’t spread and don’t have any Gleason scores or anything as it’s early days. Hospital said would ring at 9.30 and 3 hours later still waiting . Understand there are staffing issues but anxiety through the roof .
Hello Again Musky
Welcome to our little community - we are a friendly bunch.
I did ask you about Gleason Scores etc but as you haven't got that far yet on your husband's journey, keep us posted as to where you are with the hospital etc.
Feel free to ask any questions you wish - however trivial - I am sure someone will pop along with an answer.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Musky
Welcome, your stress is to be expected, being told this news can have you biting your nails off, The good thing is that PC is one of the slowest growing cancers, once his team have all the information they can act on it, phone calls are the worst, having a face to face discussion is more personal, plus you feel you can both ask questions rather than trying to put your questions over the phone.
I hope they phone soon, if they do not, I would phone them, even if it’s just to leave a message.
Stay safe
Joe
Hi Musky
realise no biopsy yet but if u can give us last few PSA results can give a few pointers , only if u want to , I understand your anxiety..
Or lets put it this way.
Generally speaking (obviously not always) If PSA is under 10 (not a disaster if over that a bit) and u have already said MRI shows not spread then hopefully a good outlook and highly likely to be curable.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Musky
High Gleason Score, T2 Contained - It's very much able to be treated to be "curative". Keep us posted regarding your meeting. I would be writing a list of questions to ask at the meeting.
I would have thought you would have the choice between surgery and HT/RT. There are pros and cons to each so you do need to be thinking of what you need to ask.
If it helps many of the "Community Regulars" have charted their personal PC journey - you can read mine by clicking on the icon of the beach.
Happy to answer any questions you may have.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Musky
The stats are not too bad. As Brian has said looks like surgery and RT are options. That said don't be bullied into making a snap decision. Take your time to read up on any options suggested.
Regards
Stuart
