Hi,
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer three months ago. It came as a huge shock not just to me but to my specialist. I had just been having troubleswith my waterworks. I went straight on to hormone Injections and medication - apalutamide tablets.
My scans and biopsies show that it has spread to my lungs and my bones.
However three months into my treatment my psa has dropped from 4.7 to 0.01.
Y bone markers have also dropped by two thirds.
Trouble sleeping, hot flushes and periods of fatigue that come on unexpectedly seem to be par for the course.
I'm 72 still nanaged a 5km jog the other day and working out on my exercise bike.
But there's a lot of ' can't be asked' periods.
Hello Glitz and welcome to the club you didn't want to join - but it's the place to be for help, information and general good company.
You haven't said what your treatment plan is - are you just staying with HT or are we talking RT or Chemo? You have cracked it with the exercise though - keep it it - Fatigue is on it's way.
I can recommend Sage tablets for the hot flushes - they might help. Fee free to ask any questions on here - we are a good bunch.
Best wishes and Good luck with your journey.
Brian.
