We are waiting to see onocologest to see when the chemo starts
I am so worried .and on tenderhooks waiting for post to see when treatment starts--worried about side effects
I been nagging hubby to see about his pain in his back and finaly he went never had wee problems
We not got a car so have to make arrangements for him to go by transport car to hospital
I am also being bit forgetful guess it because of worry rather then my brain gone south
Hi
Not surprising about you worrying, it’s the start of a journey that hopefully will be sorted, if not the treatments nowadays are marvellous and will keep him going for may a year. Depending on what the oncologist team decide is what side effects he may suffer, some people have hardly any, others like me if it has one I suffer from it, but you get used to it.
Take care
joe
Hi,
The waiting is awful at the beginning of this journey but we have learned that it is a 'marathon and not a sprint'. My husband had his 5th cycle of chemotherapy a week ago. Usually he feels extremely tired with weak legs two or three days afterwards, which lasts for another 3/4 days. He then gradually gets back to normal, for a couple of weeks before the next cycle. He has been very fortunate not to have felt, or been, nauseous or sick, nor has he lost his taste or appetite. He has had some pain in his legs after this last cycle plus his hair is thinning. If you wish you can see his profile by clicking on our butterfly logo. We wish you well and do try to keep positive. x
I still do not know if I am coming or going and am bit forgetful can I blame it on my age :).
update on hubby he not into going on forums and chat he reads papers online and does puzzles,
Anyway it be hospital next week guess it be check up before chemo starts
I keep telling him he needs to go for daily walks but takes no notice just works from home or goes into his work
You are quite correct - he needs to get into the routine of exercising,
Whatever treatment path you go down with this cancer, nothing is more certain than the fatigue will catch up on you. To try and fight this you do need to take regular exercise,
Kind Regards
Brian.
