Hello everyone. Just wanted to check in and introduce myself. My husband had a prostatectomy in January 2022 and in November his PSA started to rise. PET scan last month showed spread to lymph nodes and bones. He is a very young 75 year old and remarkably fit for his age. He has no symptoms apart from incontinence post-prostatectomy. Just started on hormone therapy and together we are adjusting to our new normal.
Hello Wife001 and welcome to the club.
I would think your husband has been started on hormone therapy as those pesky prostate cancer things grow on testosterone and if his PSA is on the rise they could be back.
The hormone therapy will stop his testosterone (quickly) and the cells will not be able to reproduce - so he's on the right path.
Good luck with the treatment and keep us posted.
Kind Regards
Brian.
