Just a quick hello to everyone who is or gas suffered with prostate cancer.
I was diagnosed in January and had a Radical prostatectomy on 28th February 2023
I have just had the all clear as in no cancer at the incision points of the prostate so it was deemed all contained within the prostate and not spread, also my pelvic lymph nodes they removed all clear of cancer.
I count myself very fortunate in the fact that it was caught early and has been dealt with.
I have 2 grown up sons who I am pestering to make Doctors appointments to get checked out.
Keep safe everyone wish you all the best.
Hi I'm a t3 b on hormone therapy waiting on further treatment.Made both my sons aware for the future. Both my brothers have gone for a PSA test and thankfully no high score detected.I am telling all my friends to take a test as I consider myself lucky,6 more months and who knows it could have been terminal.Good luck in the future
My husband was diagnosed in January this year, had his RP surgery in April and we will hear the results at the follow up appointment in June. It's an anxious wait for sure! We also have an adult son (who at 26 is deemed too young to be tested) but we have advised him to get regular PSA checks as he gets older. He has also advised his brother t get checked as well as many of our male friends. It still amazes me that this isn't offered as a standard well man check in the same way that mammograms and cervical smear tests are offered to women.
