Hi, I was diagnosed with state 2 four weeks ago. Currently on hormone therapy then looking at radiotherapy in May. Whilst Doctor was fairly positive I am struggling with the idea of cancer as we had had lots of negative outcomes in our family over last 10 years. Am trying to be positive for family but is a struggle.
Hi Eastyorks1. Welcome to the club you didn't want to join. Yes a diagnosis of cancer can be devastating and when you have had the issues you say with other family members I can understand your worries.
I know you haven't put up your full statistics (Gleason score etc) but you would appear to be on the same pathway as me, HT followed by RT. You can see my journey from diagnosis to date by clicking on the image of the beach.
From the start I took the bull by the horns and thought this is not going to get the better of me, and as you are already on the treatment path there is plenty of scope for a positive outcome.
The Prostate cancer journey is a worry as it's diagnosis - appointment - treatment - appointment and you always appear to be waiting for something - but you are already on the path to recovery.
Any questions, ask away, there are plenty of good folk on here who are wiser than me.
Keep us posted with your progress.
Kind Regards - Brian.
