Hello my name is Roy and have just joined group.I am 71.
I had an MRI scan last week and today received a call from the Urologist.
Unfortunately he had a strong Indian accent so was hard to follow. He said my result came back as a 3 in a scale of 1-5.
I missed he name of the procedure. He said my prostate was quite large and he proposed a Biopsy. However it showed a shadow on my bladder so would need to be performed under a general anaesthetic. Must admit after hearing that my mind was in turmoil.
Hi Roy
Do you have contact details for your Cancer Nurse Specialist as they, in my experience, talk in lay man's terms which may be easier to understand.
Let us know how you get on..
Regards
Stuart
I only got this info at 4.30 today so still trying to sort myself out.
Fair enough but I'm sure speaking with them will help clarify things.

Hi Roy,
Due to bladder cancer, which was treated by BCG injections, I had regular bladder checks and the latest one showed a suspicious mass at the mouth of the bladder, which after a biopsy, turned out as prostate cancer.
After waiting for 3 months, I have finally taken the plunge with ht, and will soon start with rt. The shadow you mention, maybe the same, and will be stopped hopefully by the ht.
