It's my sixth chemo cycle today and they're going to arrange for more scans. Chemo seems to have stabilised my PSA around 60 but it won't go any lower. After that they said they may continue to 10 cycles or try "other things" but I'm not suitable for Darolutamide because the cancer has spread.
So my question is does anyone know what's next after Enzalutamide and chemo? Or is that it? What's the next step? Is there hope?
Thanks
Hi Sussex20,
I've the same question as everything else has dried up for me next step being chemo. I believe we can get multiple bouts of chemo though if strong enough to handle it. I've never had chemo yet (apart from 1 cycle that got cancelled due to covid).
I don't think I'll be given Darolutamide as cancer has spread to bones and lymph nodes but I will ask them just in case.
So I can't answer your question as there is new drugs appearing and in the same boat. I hope there is hope and a plan b arrives!
Hi Sussex20, please look at my profile to see where I am at this point in time. Treatment for prostate cancer varies from postcode to postcode and person to person, we have no control on which treatment plan our consultants decide to put us on. The only positive thing I can take out of my personal treatment plan is when it eventually fails (which it will) my urology doctors told me, we always have a plan B. Under the circumstances, I was pleased to hear that.
Take care, Tom.
