Hi, I’m new to this forum. On times it will be nice to chat to others. My husband has advanced prostrate cancer, gone into his bones. He has had 3 years of treatment but isn’t doing too good at the moment.
Hi
And welcome.
Can you let us have his stats - PSA etc so we can help with any questions you may have?
Regards
Stuart
Hi,
My husband has the same as your husband. He is 77 and is not in good health generally anyway. He is only on Hormone treatment as chemo too risky due to heart problems. How old is your husband? You will find plenty of men on this site who can help you. As I wife, I can only sympathise with what you are going through. You say he isn't doing good. How is this affecting him?
Best regards
Gina
I know his psa are 50 at the moment. He has anemia. I’m not sure if his stats. I’m worried as the pain he is in is awful. He recently had 2 falls which hasn’t helped. Thank you for getting back to me.
Hi Gina, Maurice is 65, he’s had chemo, radium 223 and still having hormone injections in his tummy. He is not having any other treatment at the moment but seems to be getting worse. He’s sleeping a lot, not much of an appetite. Started to get bladder incontience. Quite worrying. All the best. Jill.
My husband does not seem to be in any pain but has incontinence, fatigue, balance problems etc. as well as awful mood swings. Get your gp to refer you to district nurses as they will supply incontinence pads, they are a godsend. My original post was because my OH was not eating but now he is on steroids, he is eating me out of house and home. That was because they also found out he had microscopic collitus which was causing daily diarrhea for about 5 months (double incontinence pads!!!). The steroids are a reducing dose and he will be off them in a couple of weeks so interesting to see if he goes back to not eating again. He has just had another blood test and has what they call 'anemia of chronic disease', plus his warfarin is not working and I am having to inject daltaparin into his tummy every day to try and get it back to where it is therapeutic!
Your husband's lack of appetite might be due to depression though, so maybe mention to doctors. I am surprised that he has only just started getting incontinence though after three years.
Best regards
Gina
Yes, but it is unrepeatable.
INR again this morning and still low, so more impersonations of a black and blue pin cushion for him.
Still no mention of this anemia. Think we will have to wait for his doctor to see his results before anything is done there but he only seems to go in a couple of times a week. A brilliant and supportive doctor but a bit part time.

I don't suppose you enjoy giving Richard the injections? Bet you do!
Did you watch it all yesterday? It was sad at the end when the Queen's coffin disappeared into the vault.
At least she's with Phillip again.
No doubt counselling will be "The Queen" again.
I'm going to see if she's any good at anger management. I am snapping with Tracey all the time, for no reason, same when I am driving.
You will be thinking "Ooh no not Steve!"

I watched from 9 till 2.30, then 4.30 till 6.00 and was glued to the screen. Amazing. I was told there was a quote in the newspapers that Hollywood could not reproduce that day if they tried.
I hate injecting him and as I was putting the needle away today, managed to stick the needle in my finger. B..... hell it hurt. Tracey doesn't deserve it, I imagine, so no snapping!! Naughty Steve. It is as hard for her as it is for you.
Gina
Don't know why I am snapping. Is it work? Is it because of everything that's wrong with me? Not the Cancer, everything else. I still haven't heard back about the Polyp. Suppose if it was bad news I would have heard by now. It could be at the bottom of a pile of tests, forgotten about, discarded.
Tell you what, I'm going to pull myself together and discuss all this tonight with Alice my counselor.
