All I can say is, I got all the side effects of chemo and years later radiotherapy as I had radiation prostitis, my PSA dropped to 0.04
it’s now 6.1 been enzalutamide for around twenty months, when first put on it because I have type two diabetes and on metformin, the two mixing blew my brain, so like you dropped to two tablets then back up to four, although I can walk I but get tired very quickly, plus have all the bad days we go through, might be my age or the meds but short term memory tends to be terrible grrr.
I found a release about 20 months ago, I write books, my latest being a vampire with a difference, my favourite is my spy novels.
thats me
Stay safe
Joe
i got bad memory (chemo brain)so have plenty of others, something they don't tell you about chemotherapy .I have a problem called Addisons disease ,(its not actually a disease) my adrenal glands don't work there on top of the kidneys without them the body slowly shuts down then coma and death i have to take two sorts of steroids for life to get my body doing what glands should do, unfortunately chemo stopped steroids working after 4 sessions and bump in on floor Mrs calling ambulance and I'm going in and out of coma . luckily I improved enough to finish all sessions chemo .

Hi Simone what you and your partner are going through is only normal, my wife and I had the same emotional brake down January 2021 when I was diagnosed, that is the worst part, until you realise that the treatment available now is very good offering a reasonable quality of life, yes there are side effects, but they are manageable, my diagnosis was similar to your partner's, check out my profile.
All the best Ulls
Hello Stem, so sorry to hear what you and your husband are going through. I cant really say anything other than echo what Joe has already said. Its a roller-coaster of emotions but i will say it is good to talk to others who are in a similar situation, either on this forum or over the phone, it certainly did for me. If your husband would ever like a chat just private message me. I was diagnosed with advanced PC gleason 9 spreads to spine and pelvis last march. Take care x
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for this. We have a meeting at Guys next week to get scan results. He murmured maybe when I have info from the meeting after reading your reply . I hope he will take you up on that offer. I also hope he will log on to this community but slowly slowly ......
Hugs to all of you - you have been brilliant!
No problem, good luck for next week. In the mean time maybe just reading mine and others profiles may help him, there are many men on here who are doing amazing and responding really well to treatment. Take care x
Regards
Paul
