Good morning everyone.
Going through radiotherapy treatment, 'valleys boy' kinda guy, 62 on Monday.
Thought it would be productive to join up. Hope I can help in some way, if possible.
Best wishes.
Jo.
Hi Joe.
I was being monitored a couple of years ago, then the psa started to rise, 8.6 / 9.2 / 9.4 Gleason score of 6.
Just coming to the end of 20 radiotherapy sessions with a prostap injection.
I'm a glass half full sort of guy, and I know I have had it relatively 'easy' so far, many are worse off than me. I just find it disturbing how the symptoms were zero. Nothing. Fit guy.
Some don't like going to doctors for check ups and bloods. Why do men take so much care of their cars and motorcycles, but not their own bodies?
Hi
Unfortunately you can be as fit as a fiddle, cancer does not care, when it’s your turn, you just have to hope the doctors find it quick enough. In my case they did not even after all my blood tests, which were not for cancer but all the signs were there.
A Gleason 6 can be sorted without to much hassle, which is a plus for you and hopefully it will not show it’s ugly head again, but when you’ve finished your RT ask about when you need to have a check up, keep on the good side of this wether yearly or less or more.
stay safe
Joe
