Hi everyone. My husband’s prostate cancer has spread to his bones and he currently has a tumour on his spine causing problems. Has anyone got any ideas or tips on helping him with a pillow set up that is supportive enough but soft enough for him to sleep/sit up in bed (he has a hospital one). He also slips into a kind of crater in the bed formed by sitting up for a time. If I adjust the pillows they quickly go flat and I struggle to them get it all back in quickly enough before he runs out of steam for holding himself up. We both get frustrated and it is getting us both down a bit...
Hi
ive just bought one of those comfy mattresses that mould to your shape in bed, then spring back, their not bad. Have you tried a surigical back brace ? You can buy a good one on line I have one helps me move around a bit better, as regards sitting an orthodontic chair may well help ask the McMillan people people they should give some good answers as well, maybe help with the cost.
stay safe
Joe
Memory foam mattresses can be quite helpful, but don't suit everybody, but memory foam pillows tend to be bulkier than the normal, and might be just what you need.
Easy to buy online too (shop around, some are silly prices and no better for it)
