Hi all, I have done 18 sessions of radiotherapy out of 23 and am starting to struggle with urinary urgency.

does anyone have any advice/recommendations about incontinance pad or pants ?
I haven’t had an accident yet but it’s been close a couple of times - when I need to go I need to go.

we are driving an hour to Mount Vernon hospital everyday and I’m now having to stop half way through the journey.

Hello Palermo,

I know what you mean. I use Tena pads for Urine urgency. I didn’t have bowel issues. My wife drove me so I was also able to use empty water bottles en route and coming home.

I still use Tena pads depending where I am going 9 months later I found they help with anxiety.

Hi Richard, I know what you mean about anxiety My wife drives me as well but how do you manage to go in a bottle in the car ?

A bit of contortion in the passenger seat and keep an eye out for higher vehicles like coaches if there on your left. Other than that needs must!
