I have taken the advice of Milobob and several others to get a second opinion. However I have discovered that the doctor I am seeing also works as a consultant at the hospital where my complaint originates. I do hope he is objective as I don’t want to complicate matters worse by thinking he is biased. I have also emailed the PALS team and have asked for a meeting to discuss my concerns.
oneards and upwards, I hope.

Hello Alan (Al985)
I honestly think you are doing the correct thing here.
I don't think surgery was right for you and I think after surgery there should have been an earlier intervention once you had the results from the histology.
Taking the matter further should ease your anxiety and I hope ensure that others who come under this surgeon will not have the same issues you have had.
Best wishes - Brian.

I had the same. The Dr I now have was an understudy of the horror I kicked into touch.
There were no recriminations and as I’m such a lovely person (ha ha) everything has gone really well.
Meet the dr and be brave and don’t bring up the past dr only your past medical concerns.
Good luck
Take care
Hello Alan (Al985 )
In 4.5 years on my personal journey I have never had a PSA that low.
Enjoy being off treatment, no side effects, no regular medication and no appointments with radiotherapy.
Best wishes - Brian.

Slight problem here Brian. The oncologist, who appears to be very kind and understanding, actually said it is not protocol to step in. She is willing to start therapy once my PSA hits the threshold for pet scan 0.1. I also tried to clarify the significance of adenocarcinoma in the lymph node but didn’t get anywhere. Problem is, as nice as she was, I do not trust her( yet???)
However I do have the independent review of all my histology, which PALS said will be available on 2;7;26.

Hello Alan (Al985)
I think the good thing here is your oncologist is following protocol and treating you as she would "anyone else".
I agree - have a break and wait until your PSA hits 0.1. If the cancer is in the Lymph nodes, the PSA is low at the moment so it's not going anywhere.
In due course once your PSA rises a little, they can start Hormone Therapy, put the cancer to sleep and whilst it's sleeping zap it with Radiotherapy to kill it off. She's just waiting to confirm it's active and doing something - it's no good treating something that's not there!
Kind Regards - Brian.
