  • Hi FL

I finished RT in 2017 and my readings are similar.

I think that up until u started keto diet all ok PSA round about .4-.5 which is ok.

A bit puzzling why started going up with keto although probably just coincidence.

The main changes I have made to diet are, no sugar, very little red meat, dairy , alcohol.

Perhaps come off keto just to see for a while, let's hope it stops increases.

    All the best

    Steve

Ps just looked at keto, mainly all fat no carbs, ok ,I know too many carbs not good but not sure about all that fatThinking

  • Hello

I don't think there's any cause for worry at the moment - you still have a prostate and it's still making a small amount of PSA.

We are all different and react to changes in our body - perhaps the change of diet hasn't helped (apart from losing weight!).

I think the time to worry is when your PSA reaches 2 whole points or more.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Thank you for recommendations. I started the keto diet due to prediabetic conditions from an A1C blood work test. Now it is back to normal.

  • One more thing that raises a question is my TSH blood work results, which have changed after EBRT. This is the only parameter on my blood work panel that dropped, in addition to PSA level.

I came across a reference that a low level of TSH can trigger an increase in PSA levels. Not sure if this is accurate. But with KETO diet my TSH level dropped almost twice from 0.37 to 0.2. Just a thought that came to my mind.
