For anyone interested, the highlights of that conference have been published at https://www.urotoday.com/conference-highlights/apccc-2024/151569-apccc-2024-testosterone-recovery-after-stopping-adt-who-is-at-risk-for-long-term-non-recovery.html
They discussed the time it takes to recover the pre-ADT testosterone levels. In short, it depends on the type and on the length of time.
Agonist ADT (such as Lupron), take longer to recover. Those on this type of drug can take 6 to 24 months to recover
Antagonist ADT (such as Relugolix/Orgovyx) can recover faster, ranging from 1 to 6 months.
More details in the article itself but those were the big takeaways I think.
Well thanks for that. Having digested the information it looks like a good 18-24 months before I will be the fully functioning alpha male again!! !.
An interesting read all the same.
Best wishes - Brian.
