This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
Another vote for Bat out of Hell from me at full volume, along with Queen if I am decorating or ironing. Something like Berlin and Take my Breath away if we want some romance. As you say Les s , music can take you back to a time and place. we also like classical music and wake up to ClassicFM in the mornings.
Alwayshope
I listen to Boom radio every day. Mostly 50s 60s music
Great choices. Really great choices.
Classic FM in the mornings , but if I really want to get anything done it's Queen, Meatloaf, Bruce Springsteen Rolling Stones and I am almost ashamed to say, Status Quo.
I got a speeding ticket which I blame entirely on Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf
It's not loud enough unless my wife complains.
Or the other drivers on the motorway as I slam past them yelling the words of "Brown Sugar"
As a Church goer I also listen considerable amounts of worship music which is quite a bit more rock and roll than many think. Better to sing along at home than Church, because I don't get people's shopping me why I am making that horrible noise. My wife already knows that I call it singing....
Last point on music.
Some years ago I was stuck in a traffic snarl up in Ilford. I was stopped right by a bus stop with at least 2 dozen people waiting.
Now those of you that know will recall that the William Tell Overture has a placid, pastoral start.
So, sitting there, bored out of my skull, I decided to introduce those waiting to see one classical music.
I opened all windows and the sunroof and sat there with my hand on the volume control of the radiotherapy.
Just at the exact moment when the music makes everyone start thinking of the Lone Ranger I turned the volume up to full.
The whole queue had an interesting experience.
Good days, them
Steve
Changed, but not diminished.
For me is Leonard Cohen and classic FM especially come 1st December. I also love Christopher Kristoferson. Yes, hipppie days.
Lots of love

My music taste is all over the place. Telegraph Road by Dire Staits is one of my all time favourites.
However, recently have been listening to a lot of 70s through 00s songs specifically with female lead - because my missus is lead singer in a band whose niche is exactly that. So I get a private concert regularly in the evenings when she’s rehearsing and get to be roadie/groupie on gig nights. Next gig in 2 weeks, will hopefully be fit enough to go
I used to hate Queen, but after watching the film, I now love the music, and like you when I am decorating or doing something physical. We Will Rock You, my favourite. However, I do like Chill Out Music, and Opera so a real mix of tastes!

Would love to see a photo of your view out to sea.
Hello Gina
if you love music and a laugh you need to watch “A Knight’s Tail” it’s not true to history but it’s good.
On a side note if you freeze frame where he returns to the UK some naughty person has added the London Eye to medieval England!!
Proper chap!
