This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Go on then - here's my 3:

    1. Spent a cracking afternoon at football with number 2 daughter and her pregnancy is going great - oh and we won 4-0!!

    2. Number 3 daughter is away at a wedding in Scotland so I have walked her 2 greyhounds this morning. 10,000 plus steps before lunch.

    3. Me & Mrs M are having a cosy night in by the fire, I am cooking and the wine is in the fridge. This prostate cancer has made us realise how much we love one another!!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • So, you’ve shared a lot of joy today - when are we going to taste those wonderful cheese scones Blush Glad you’re feeling better and thank you for your kind words - they mean a lot to me Blush

  • They meant even more to me!

  • wow wow

My  ULNHST nurse just told me she dose not care what is said on Macmillian about how we are or should be treated from this trust.   In other words do not bother to come and chat or look on Macmillian website.  We will treat you as we want. By NICH guidelines.    and when I asked for another PSA test I was told we cannot do it due Ie cost or time.

As my PSA had jumped up.From 3.7 to 4.5 mind you it was a six month wait for that PSA

By the way as soon as you are diagnose by this trust you get given all the Macmillan books and paperwork.

Not a happy man this afternoon

  • Hello Les (

That's not a great way to look after their patients at all. Am I correct to assume this is the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS trust you are under.

Their CQC rating is "Requires improvement".

There are two ways to go here:

    * You could contact the hospital PALS service (Patient Advisory and Liaison Service) and let them know how unhappy you are at your treatment and they will look into it informally - e-mail @ pals@ulh.nhs.uk

    or

    * Make a formal complaint to the hospital by e-mail - complaintsULH@ulh.nhs.uk

I hope this helps, if I can do anything else for you please let me know.

    Kind Regards - Brian.

  • Doesn't sound good Les, 6 month wait for PSA, u should be able to go to your GP anytime and ask for a PSA test without any holdups

    Regards

    Steve

  • Brian.

Yes it is  United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS trust.

I am due a MRI scan in a few weeks. I think she has pushed for the MRI it as soon as possible.

All she kept quoting was NICH guide lines.

I am now talking to Pals re my records.

I will see how the MRI Scan goes and how she responds to that. Before I take it any farther.

    Les

  • Sorry about being a few days late, but did you have square sausage in the Scottish Breakfast?
