This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
Course not, just joking and you certainly do enjoy them and so you should.
My best friend has recently been diagnosed with a grade three brain tumour. She is the most amazing person I know and it totally breaks my heart that she may not get through this. However, she is my age and five days after surgery she looked incredible and they went ahead with their golden wedding anniversary, albeit on a smaller scale. She has now had radiotherapy and is on chemo tabs for six months. She still makes us all laugh on her group chat, which has over seventy members. I don't even know that many people, but she is loved by them all.
She is so funny and I am not surprised that her son is a pretty well known comedian, writer, musician. He has been on shows with Ricky Gervais, wrote a recent series with Alison Steadman called Here We Go, and my favorite in which he stars and co wrote, Plebs. His name is Tom Basden, look him up. I am his number one fan having known him since he was a baby. Now, he is having to go through all the worry of his mother being seriously ill and the prospect of maybe losing her.
Goes to prove that you never know what is round the corner, especially when you get to my age and you just have to live life to the full.
Gina, and a big hug for your best friend!
I've not heard of Tom Basden by his name, but I just googled him. I've probably seen him in something.
No doubt Tom will do his best to keep his mam, your best friend going through it all.
All of us in the Prostate Forum are willing her on!!
Having you for a best friend, what more could she ask for!
Take Care.
