Hi all. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer just after Christmas. My PSA was 5.9, a Gleason number of 8 (4 + 4) and a type T2c 0n 0m. All has been going well and was going to have an op late March. This morning I tested positive for COVID. The hospital have advised me that my op will be put back by 7 weeks so ending up early May. My main concern is that our friend may spread outside the Prostate during that time. I realise my numbers are very low, but I was wondering if anyone had experienced the same. Take care everyone.
Because of my hesitation and COVID , I was 11 months between psa and surgery . No evidence that the lesion , similar to yours , had changed at all over this period. Obviously, the sooner the better , but a delay of that length seems very unlikely in this generally very slow growing disease .
Bill is spot on; for PCa, 7 weeks is a pretty short time, and you should be OK.
A T2 is entirely 'within the capsule', making surgery more straightforward.
Are you on hormones while you wait?

Heinous
If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.
Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
PCa is a very slow grower, and I was told a delay of around that length would make no difference to what the surgeon was dealing with.
