Hi I was wondering if anyone had had experience of Radium 223. I would be grateful for any feedback.

Thanks.

  • Hi

I have read a lot a boy this treatment, it helps with bone pain and usually lasts from nine to twelve months. There’s plenty on the nhs web site that should assist you.

    Stay safe

Thanks Joe, hopefully it will help his shoulder pain .

  • I've no direct experience, but it's a highly targeted treatment for people with castrate-resistant PCa who have bone metastases. Many studies have shown that it can significantly reduce pain, and more recent studies are showing that it can add a year or two to life for those who have the full course (usually six cycles). It's often given in combination with enzalutamide, and has been shown to be safe, with negligible effects on healthy tissue.

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.

Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.

Thanks Heinous, that’s good to know. I have researched it but I couldn’t find many reviews from people who had had it .Awaiting scan results before they decide on it.
