Not been on here for a while but been reading some of the posts my journey is continuing I've had brachytherapy 4 weeks ago had 6/15 sessions of radiotherapy  another 9 to go after that been told will be on HT for at least another year so now feel I'm well along the road to hopefully a full recovery. So far had no side effects just hope it continues that way.

    Thank you for sharing.

I’m 8 weeks behind you and naturally starting to think about what awaits me.

    Sounds very positive, good luck

  • I've kept positive from the very beginning and always doing something I'm quite keen on diy so been doing lots of jobs that I put off and really enjoyed it. Best of luck with your treatment I was nervous about something's but needn't have been it all went very well and was treated with great deal of consideration

  • Great to hear that things are going so well for you.

All the best for the future.

    Hi

I was just wondering how you got on with the remainder of your 9 RT sessions?

did you have any side effects, and if so any recommendations for dealing with them?

as I mentioned in my last response, i am 8 weeks behind you, and have now just had my bracy operation (after HT) which seems to have gone very well without issues.

so far I don’t seem to have any bracy side effects.

i have my RT planning meeting next week and will likely start the 15 sessions in mid-May .... so was interested hear your experience and advise?

hope you completed your road to full recovery without side effects.

    many thanks

    Steve

  • Hi Steve I had no side effects from my RT I went in had treatment went about my life with no effects. I have just finished reflecting my shed roof and making wood water resistant with out feeling unduly tired. My only thing is I still need to P frequently hopefully that will get better in time. I feel well in myself and if I didn’t tell people I had P C they couldn’t tell. Hope that your treatment goes as well
