Hello fellow Prostate people.Just a few words for a little advice.I was diagnosed in 2019 as previous mentioned with PSA of 1220.Over the years it
has gone down in stages with the help of Zoladex 1.8 every 12 weekes and Bicalutamide one a day. Rcently Bicalutamide was stoped because of
increase of PSA which is called Bicalutamide Wean.PSA went from 20(cant remember the point amount up to 26.?
I have an appointment on Monday 10th November wit my Oncologists. So some questions my be answered.Possible a change of medication.
Latater in the day I had a text from my Doctor to say she want to see me on the 14th November.I do not know if it is in connection with this
problem or something else.I know I said a few words but wanted to make things clear for any help.
There was a mention of a scan but do not want to go through that again.
Derek
Hello Derek (Summer and Winter)
You have done well for 6 years keeping the PSA down so it looks like it's time for a change of plan with your medication.
The scan will be required to check just where the cancer is and hopefully it's not spread anywhere new. It's in your own interest to have the scan and it's pain free!!
Do please let us know how you get on
(Oh the issue with your name has been fixed).
Best wishes - Brian.

Thank You Brian. As mentioned Bicalutamide was stopped for four weeks because of Bicalutamide wean.October P.S.A was 26.1.Itis now 29.88.Needless to say Iam worried.I have had Scans befor they dont bother me buts more visits to the Oncologists instead getting on with life. And the traveling,I know its only ten miles from where I live.
Derek
Hello Derek (Summer and Winter)
I know what you mean about visits to Oncology, I am on 3 monthly face to face visits at the moment as I have had a biochemical relapse however I only live a mile from the hospital. I look at it as they are keeping me alive and am happy for the help I am receiving.
I am sure with an up to date scan your team will have a plan to reduce your PSA.
Best wishes - Brian.
