Hi all

Age 54

T3aN1M0

Prostate adenocarcinoma
PSA 44, GS 4+5=9
T3N1, PSMA avid peri-prostatic deposits including anterolateral to bladder and 1 right obturator lymph node involved.
Around 12 weeks since treatment started (Bicalutamide, then 3 monthly Prostap injections, and 6 cycles of chemo alongside it).
1st cycle of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (Docetaxel) went without any problems and minimal side effects (a little fatigue and bone pain), nothing a bit of exercise and weight training couldn't sort out., albeit days 5 to 7 were a bit of a  battle.
PSA is down to 0.711, so hopefully everything is shrinking in preparation for Radiotherapy later in the year.
All the best
Jay
  • You sound upbeat which is ready good to read. Good luck with the second cycle and future treatments after. Great PSA Ok hand

  • Thanks, good luck moving forward to you too.

  • Hi Jay  , I agree you sound very positive and that is great.  The journey can be a bit of a rollercoaster, so make the most of the highs and plod through on the lows.  Your profile sounds similar to my own but I was 13 years older than you when diagnosed and am now 76. My profile gives you the info (click on my name or avatar).

    Best wishes, David

Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.

  • Yep, I always try to dwell on the positives, worrying too much is precious time wasted. All the best to you too
